Happy February everyone! It’s been busy week at the Snapdragon Inn and we are gearing up for another sold out weekend. This was a lovely review from one of our mid-week guests

Snapdragon Inn is the place to stay in Vermont! The rooms are impeccably decorated and have the most comfortable beds you will ever sleep in. In addition to creating a very peaceful environment, the owners have preserved the unique history of the inn…making it a true destination.Not only are the accommodations and amenities top notch, the entire staff at the Snapdragon Inn are people who put you at ease. They give just the right of amount of attention to your stay and provide the comfort of genuine hospitality. I wanted to unpack and stay awhile. This is an exceptionally beautiful inn where you feel right at home.

New Reviews!

Usually on January 10th the ground is covered with a thick layer of snow and ice so this is certainly an odd winter for us in Windsor.  In Saying that, it is quite a treat to be able to walk around Paradise park without skis or snowshoes. We are so lucky to be steps away from such a beautiful lake and park reserve. This is definitely a highlight that so many of our guests enjoy.

Everything in Snapdragon is perfect – the location is right on a cute lake but at the outskirts of a little town, only 4 hours drive from NY. The inn itself is a beautiful house, exclusively furnished and very well maintained, with correct touches of luxury and the nicest inn keepers. The area offers many touring and dining options (don’t miss Simon Pearce). Overall we couldn’t hope for a better b&b experience. Highly recommended! -Guest from NYC

New Review!

We were very excited to read this wonderful new review on Trip Advisor! They stayed in Room 3 which has been quite popular with its soft blue hi-lites. Go here to read more reviews. 

The place is GORGEOUS. The room itself even more so. Beautiful restorations to a historic home. I slept like a log, as everything was so quiet and peaceful. No noisiness here.Breakfast was wonderful, yummy and healthful. My friend who was pacing me was also invited to attend our morning breakfast, she joined our little trip at the last minute and wasn’t able to book a hotel so stayed at a nearby campsite. It was so nice of them to let her stay, and it was a wonderful close to our amazing weekend away. Wonderful stay, and I really hope to be back again.  :)

Autumn decor, reviews & last minute deals

On a recent adventure with my young son, I found myself too tired to make it home, and we unexpectedly made our way into Windsor, VT, finding this wonderful Inn. It was the most delightful stay, at a historical gem, beautifully and tastefully restored and well appointed, with the most lovely family caretakers. My young son was treated with respect and therefore behaved accordingly, we loved the generously comfortable room, freshly prepared continental breakfast and very friendly welcome. I love the Snapdragon chap stick, a gift in our room, and every detail and amenity was appreciated. The stroll around the lake was lovely, and the town has some interesting sites to see. We had a fabulous meal at the Burdick restaurant (French bistro food and handmade find chocolates!) in Walpole, twenty minutes away and many other fine restaurants are within close proximity and worth the drive. Snapdragon is conveniently well located very close to Billings Farm, Dartmouth and many other fabulous destinations. Cannot beat the friendly welcoming charm and reasonable rates for such a fine place to stay. I highly recommend giving this wonderful new place a try.

Rainy rainy days



On these rainy rainy days, it’s hard not to want to wrap up in one of our soft bathrobes, curl into a feather bed, and watch movies or read all day long. What do you  like to do on rainy days?

The folks at the Snapdragon Inn got it right. The inn has a comfortable, contemporary vibe even as it references its considerable history (former home of Maxwell Perkins, literary editor of Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Wolfe). The rooms are comfortable with nice touches (fluffy down comforters, maple sugar candies, heavy white bathrobes hanging in the clean, airy bathrooms). Continental breakfasts include good coffee, Greek yogurt, granola, great breads, and heaps of fresh fruit, among other options. Rocking chairs beckon on the large back porch, and there’s plenty of great reading material (plus flat screen TVs in every room, if that’s more your style). Definitely worth a return visit.
