Activities

All four seasons, the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire has something to offer. If you’d like help making plans for your visit, just call or email us at Snapdragon Inn and we’ll happily give you recommendations and make reservations when necessary.

Outdoor Activities

Hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking, the summer in Vermont brings activities galore – pools, ponds and streams to swim and fish, birds to spot, even mountains for climbing (and hang gliding off for the bravest among us!).

In the fall, these activities take on a new fire with the beauty of the foliage surrounding you. And when the snow flies, there is cross country skiing, downhill skiing and snowboarding, ice skating, snowshoeing, sledding, and ice fishing to keep you busy.

Arts and Culture

Museums, artisans, theater and live music are all around you at the Snapdragon Inn. Catch a movie or an open mic night, visit a glassblower at work or an art exhibit; or even take a class and learn a new skill. Shop for handmade crafts, or make room in the car for a new antique on the trip home. There’s plenty to soak in when you come to visit.

Relaxing

There are quiet afternoons for strolling around Lake Runnemede or relaxing in our Library. Time for shopping the picturesque main streets of our surrounding towns. Leisurely and delicious meals to be eaten. Bike rides on the dirt roads that New England is famous for. Make sure to leave time in your visit for slowing down and enjoying the scenery.
