Painting Progress.

The Painting is progressing and we have successfully completed Room 7 on the 3rd floor (minus some window painting) and we are onto Room 8! This color is Glidden Cottonfield -Satin Gloss.

Before: Room 7 was two smaller rooms that we blew into one

After: one large lovely lit room

It may look similar to the Chardonnay White of Room 9 but that has a green tint and this has more of a beige tint. Room 8 is Coconut- a delicious creme yellow–cut in today and rolling 1st coat tomorrow. More to come!

1893: Evarts Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary on Lake Runnemede

From the beginning of our planning we have known that Snapdragon Inn would become a unique and intimate place for weddings and special occasions. As part of the Evarts family estate, many family functions took place on these grounds. The following article from 1893 covers, in glowing language, the 50th Wedding Anniversary of William Maxwell Evarts which took place on the 1,200 acre Evarts Estate in Windsor, Vermont. Snapdragon Inn was one of a number of homes on the property operated by the Evarts family.

Snapdragon Essentials Line Now For Sale Online

We got these samples of our custom formulated lip balms in the mail today. The tin is all natural lip balm with spearmint for the Snapdragon Spa Studio. We also created a Lavendar-Chamomile, Citrus-Green Tea, and Lemon-Bergamont for the Snapdragon Essentials Line. They are SPF 15 and yummy–each made in the USA in an FDA approved facility. Big Red is partial to the Citrus Green Tea. I have a few tweaks I want to make to the labels (never designed a lip balm before) but it is the beginning of our Snapdragon Essential and Spa Studio lines. Room 9–Hooray.

Just a few bits and pieces here and there (the floor refinished) but otherwise Room 9 is painted and looking fresh!

It feels to good to have the trim painting initiation over. Today finish Bathroom 9 and onto Room 7!

windsor weather schizophrenia

After a glorious weekend in the upper 50′s with blue skies and sun we woke up to 5 inches of snow and another 4 through out the day on Monday. Then we had another sunny day in the 30′s (feels warm after a frigid February) and then a very dark and rainy Wednesday. You can feel the weather trying to bust into spring and MY OH MY will we welcome it with open arms. It is very difficult to paint when it is so cold.

This even as I walked up State Street I caught these lovely sun setting colors and there was a tinge of warm air in the breeze–I will take a tinge.
